I’ve never liked the term “self-hating Jew”.
It feels very loaded.
But I would argue that this kind of headline does not make life easier for British Jews and should be reported as a genuine breach of the IHRA in that it equates violent thugs with respectable normal football fans who simply happen to be Jewish.
Camilla Long herself claiming to be Jewish doesn’t make this a truthful headline or in any way representative of the views of normal peace loving Jewish people.
Why would it?
Jews are not a monolith who are all for having communities smashed up.
So how does one label or account for Long’s piece?
For me it’s Zionist antisemitic propaganda pure and simple.
Why is she allowed to keep calling them “Jewish” fans when the ban applies to specific Israeli / Zionist football fans and not all Jewish fans?
But, as I’ve said before, some people’s sensitivity to racism and antisemitism is indirectly proportional to which way their bread is buttered.
Camilla is on the Murdoch payroll and has an agenda to set.
It’s amazing that all the political parties and every single media outlet agrees with letting thugs smash up Birmingham and have Tommy Robinson sit with them during the game
One of my old flatmates told me that his cousin was once a goalkeeper for an Israeli team and he quit in his late 20s because he became religious and couldn’t play on Saturdays.
In Israel bizarrely they play their games on Saturdays and the league has allowed it ever since it was set up.

Western govts and media well behind the curve compared to footy terraces is quite something.
