I’ve been developing a satirical newspaper cover inspired by Private Eye – to highlight the dark reality behind private equity and pension asset grabs.

The UK is being gobbled up by private equity in so many ways – and the kind of buyout mentality which surrounds Trump has clearly also got influence with the City, Reeves, and Starmer

The problem is, of course, that we will have to bear the costs for the type of risks that Reeves and Starmer would have us embrace – but they won’t.

But it’s the same playbook as what RBS / Nat West and others did during the financial crash – the bank will use its clients’ assets as collateral for its risky bets – if it wins it keeps the money and if it loses then the client loses everything.
