Desperate Times for Desperate Centrists

Why would Le Monde be putting Russian Interference headlines up on their front page?

Perhaps because they think the far right are going to walk the elections.

It’s their way of blackmailing voters to go with the Centrist parties.

But the Centrist Parties, also known as Liberals, are no different to the Far Right.

Just look at their track record for invading countries in order to export democracy.

When it comes to democracy at home suddenly they’re talking about election interference.

So what will they do?

Put Ursula Von Der Leyen in charge of Europe for another 5 years in another backroom deal, regardless of how Europeans have voted?

Because that’s democracy?

What does it mean to have a functioning Europe?

It’s clear that the powerful interests that sell arms, technology, and control the raw materials have their own way of extracting tax money from the government & from citizens, and of permanently keeping the continent on a war footing.

I’ve still not seen the Polanski film on the Dreyfus Affair but I’ve always thought it is a direct parallel with Julian Assange today.

He who makes available undisputable facts about the Military Industrial Complex and its need for permanent war, tax avoidance and money laundering is going to pay a heavy price.

Who Remembers when Centrists were on the Russian Payroll?

Peter Mandelson went from being MP for Hartlepool and occasional Minister to being the EU Competition Commissioner where he took his inappropriate meetings with oligarch billionaires to a whole new level. It’s interesting to note the way Blair and Mandelson are still referred to as Centrist politicians even though neither of them has stood in an election since the 2000s and they have both spent all the time since leaving office continuing to do grubby deals with unsavoury billionaires.

Cultural Centrists

The Observer / Guardian continues with an interview with Lucian Freud’s daughter. The article and the interviewee go to great lengths to defend Lucian Freud and paint him as a womaniser though never refer to him as a misogynist.

The article also goes big on the way the artist painted his daughter naked at age 18. Is this something an artist today would do? Maybe. I think many would call that type of behaviour problematic but some might think of it as edgy and even approve.

At no point in the article is there any mention of Lucian Freud’s brother the former Liberal Democrat MP and celebrity cook Clement Freud who is the father of PR man Matthew Freud and of the former TV presenter and wife of Film Director and Blackadder co-writer Richard Curtis, Emma Freud.

After his death it transpired that Clement Freud was a prolific paedophile.

I think the article should have talked about the striking coincidence that Lucian Freud was happy to paint his daughters naked and that his brother was a paedophile.

Lucian Freud was supposedly friends with “low life” characters from the east end. Presumably this means gangsters. One of his friends was Geordie Greig, former editor of Tatler Magazine, The Standard, the Daily Mail and current editor of the Independent. Greig helped the owners of the Daily Mail sell the Standard to the Lebedevs.

Alexander Lebedev who provided the money to buy the paper is currently on Canada’s sanctions list following the Russia Ukraine war that started in 2022.

Evgeny Lebedev, Alexander’s son is the official owner of the Standard and Independent. He has 41% of Lebedev Holdings. 30% seems to be owned by the Saudi State in the name of an obscure media professor.

It is hard to believe that Geordie Greig who was friends with Ghislaine Maxwell and Lucian Freud was not also friends with Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein was said to be friends with Mohammed Bin Salman, according to the New York Times.

So Mossad sex trafficking, centrism, war, media, banking, entertainment, the art world, and the engineering of consent all seem to to overlap quite nicely
