The Competition Commission existed from 1999 to 2014 (during the coalition) when it was replaced by the CMA.

In 2015 Cameron won the election outright and got on with cutting Red Tape passing the Deregulation Bill with Oliver Letwin in the run up to the 2015 election.

There was a growth clause in the bill that referred to regulators having to promote growth – I don’t see what the big difference is between what Cameron and what Reeves is saying.

Is she saying Cameron never went far enough?

So she’s more Tory than the Tories.

Amazon recently lost a case at the Competition Authority Tribunal – is that part of the reason for the sudden sacking of the CMA Chair?
