👇🏿 I came across this spat on X which itself linked to YouTube – I don’t know who the person who made the video is, but I think it’s fair enough to point out that Megan Ellison, Larry Ellison’s daughter, is involved in producing Riley’s work.
Maybe the creator Bad Empanada has taken everything a bit personally – he sounds quite defensive – despite just pointing out some simple facts – I can understand he’s wanting more people to know about this – but is this episode about him feeling jaded about one of his favourite conscious artists not distancing himself from the Ellisons or about something else? Who knows.
It’s not worth half an hour of your life but the first five minutes were definitely interesting.
When it comes to Zionists in the music industry, I’m reminded of NWA’s links with Zionists and countless other counter-culture crossover and co-opting.
