Why would Russia concede now?

This article gives four reasons for Russia not needing to end the war.

1. Russia thinks it is winning whereas Ukrainians want the war to end, albeit without land concessions – so Zelensky has to look for compromises while still claiming he wants a victory
2. Russia is not going to suddenly concede ground just because Trump returns to power
3. Putin is at war with NATO and believes Ukraine is bewitched by the west, so the only peace he will accept is a Russian victory against NATO.
4. Nato has conducted a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine but has generally avoided directly attacking Russia itself. It has instead allowed Ukraine to act like it is at war with Russia. But Russia considers it a NATO war against Russia. So the war will not end until Russia has decided it is time to end the war.
