As a permanent pedestrian and occasional cyclist I’m all for the persecution of the motorist
After breakfast in Liverpool I did notice some blue lights outside the cafe
Apparently all the traffic is one way and because there was an accident everything built up and nothing could move
A taxi driver told me that you used to be able to drive up and down both ways and now all the buses go up the route and if there’s an accident they all have to stop
This reminded me of what cabbies used to moan about in London, when the mayor made everything one way, the cabbie I was talking to here told me that he reckoned the decision was made in London, I didn’t tell him that I figure it was made in Washington, DC
