Tsara’s directive on how to write Dadaist poetry overlaps with the English nonsense poem
But would Tristan Tzara himself approve of being compared to English poetry?
The Tzara directive doesn’t feel that different to the AI directive. In other to make sense one ought to factually correlate relevantly and collocate so as to appear normal. Sounds like the best way to make sense from nonsense – just as Tsara made nonsense from sense. Just a Tsara’s nonsense is reordered from sense in order to look like it makes sense. So too is AI slop ordered from zeros and ones in order to look like it makes sense.
