The FT is pushing quite a dramatic line here about criminal possession of crypto.
They don’t even attempt to explain the distinction between possession and criminal possession.
Is this another way of saying money laundering? I don’t see anyone claiming to have been defrauded.
Is HMRC involved? Is this a set-up in which British authorities are basically misappropriating funds?
I’m reminded of Zionist money launderer Bill Browder’s Magnitsky act in which it is ok to confiscate other people’s money.
Have a read and tell me what you think.
I would like to go to this case – what is she doing in custody over this?
Will this be the last we hear of it?
No comments enabled – interesting to see what is happening with the Spanish PM and his wife.
I get the impression the UK judiciary is frequently bent. I attended some of the Kolomoisky money laundering case last year and the bank which prosecuted him came off more bent than he did. And that is saying something. Read American Kleptocracy for more on Kolomoisky’s operations. PrivatBank’s barrister’s ran arguments that made no sense. When I asked for clarity from the Court and from the PR team I was met with a wave of indifference to the type of detail that presumably matters if one is interested in the truth. But there was no real reporting on the case so there is basically no scrutiny. A super bent Ukrainian money laundering case. Ho-hum.
But not to worry Sunak just promised another £3bn and Biden is handing over $60+. How much of this is loans and how much is in the form of grants? I assume lots of the money will be spent on UK and US military services. So these are really just export credits that will probably never be repaid. Ukraine will be an Argentina of the East. Highly educated individuals who happen to be highly corrupt. Ukraine is asking for its military age (18-60) men who are abroad to return to the front line. They will be denied services from the Ukrainian state unless they fight. I think it would be preferable to be stateless than to fight for Zelensky, Biden, Sunak, and Kolomoisky, but you have to do what you do to get your kicks.
