My friend the psychologist Eric Olson is a great believer in collage.
I asked him to help me get closer to the insights when we met on October 23rd 2018.
I never suspected that what he would go on to point towards would already have been of such significance in so many aspects of my life, nor that it would continue to be everywhere, in everything in which I would ever subsequently get involved.
Lately Eric has occasionally referred to his work as the human algorithm.
I would say he is absolutely interested in how we learn and navigate trauma as well as the role of the image, visualisation, and the juxtaposition of messages to make and remake meaning.
Despite the recent ubquity of Gabor Maté’s work on trauma and ADHD, I’ve never thought of their work in the same way.
This painting by Werefkin is on display at the Tate Modern until tomorrow.
I love the caption beneath
The initial googling to verify this story led v quickly to Weinstein, Israel, and rampant racism and Islamophobia in the Hollywood / Israel colony that is sometimes referred to as the UK. Very obvious that the mafia that control all messaging were forced to report this story but did it in such a way as to not divulge the full extent of their own complicity in the omerta.
So there you have it. Some images. Some meaning. Or not. Do you see the collocation of images? And the reminder of what you already know? ❤️
